So, I'm six days late on my 4th post. Let's just drag it out a little, shall we?
Aah fireworks. I haven't always loved them, actually, I finally stopped plugging my ears my junior year of high school, I believe. But no matter... I love them now! I tried to snap my favorites. The gold ones, the ones that "branch out" at the ends like 4 times before they die, the super bright ones, and that moment at the beginning of the finale where everyone starts cheering. I love fireworks.
We spent our evening with the thousands of other people in Excelsior, however, we will be going back to this particular spot. It had a much better view, and was {suprisingly} not very buggy. We trekked out there early, with Nick & the Kniers, played some games, and just relaxed together before the show.
I had to document Nick's "mid-summer" golf tan. He's still got weeks to work on his contrast:

Our 4th was spontaneous, relaxing, and oh so fun. Sometimes the best get togethers are the ones you throw together at the last minute. Sending out those "meet here in an hour?" texts and just seeing what happens. Hope you all had a spectacular, family & fellowship filled Independence Day!
