my best friends wedding

Jena's wedding was such a special day. All the preparation, anticipation, and details came together seamlessly into a truly unique and beautiful memory.

Her wedding morning was relaxing - all the girls were gathered for makeup, hair, coffee, food, more coffee... and the best part:

Ok, so it wasn't the best part of the morning, but I think we plowed through most of the season as background noise, randomly busting out laughing, or quoting our favorite lines. You pretty much weren't allowed in the room unless you loved FRIENDS. Not true, but it's a good thing all the girls are as addicted as Jena and I!

The morning started out cold and foggy - quite beautiful for pictures if you ask me!

How beautiful is she...

And every bride should wear their hair like this...

I was pretty emotional leading up to the ceremony - and during - and the night after - but she means so much to me, and she just looked so beautiful. Not to mention that her "something borrowed" was the veil I wore at my wedding. A special memory we can both share.

The details of the morning were blessed. We enjoyed our time together, we got to witness the making of Stephanie's GORGEOUS flowers (she was the handiwork behind Jared and my wedding as well!) and we had the priveledge of loving and supporting a truly genuine woman.

Love you chippy - you're a beautiful and genuine friend. I'm so happy for you and Jeff, and pryaing for the Lord to grow you together in Him as you start off your first month of marriage. I love you!

a saturday for jena.

Her last shower before becoming Mrs. Wagner! It was a morning {and afternoon} of just girls and girlie things - the anticipation of October 20th is practically killing me. So happy for you Jena-bean.

I have just 12 days left until I get to share her with a boy... that's a wonderful thing, mind you, but we'll (all) soak in these last weeks.

We had a relaxing Saturday morning  - homemade treats, coffee, mimosas, laughing, a few games, talking, presents... Erica & Krystine you did such a wonderful job planning the morning! All of us love Jena so much, and it was a joy to all celebrate with her.

How excited am I for her wedding weekend to roll around? SO excited. It can't come fast enough!! Jena, you are already stunning to me inside and out, and I am so excited to share in your day with you! 12 days, baby!

kelly's bridal shower

It was most definitely a spring-ish day outside, and quite the day for a shower.... :) I don't humor myself very often, so I hope you put up with me.

But inside, we were "beaching" it. Kells is getting married in 2 weeks in sunny Florida on the beach. It was only fitting that our girls would gather to celebrate her, Brad, and the anticipation of their new life.

It was such a fun Saturday afternoon... we kept ourselves thouroughly entertained with a few games, beach bingo, pina coladas, presents, and enough mother-daughter chatter to fill the living room. How convenient that our mom's gather just like we do. 7 moms, 7 daughters, throw in some wedding talk... enough said.

Now anyone who knows Annie, here, knows that this picture just needs to be documented. Here ye, here ye, Annie is doing something domestic. And it was the best darn ribbon boquet I've ever seen. She went there, and it worked.

Moving on. To the food, of course. Naturally...

I'll give you the short version. Pinterest meets Martha Stewart, they bond over homeade seashell chocolates, have a kid and all three of 'em showed up at this party... it was that good.

And no, I'm not kidding about the homeade seashell chocolates.

It was a great afternoon with the girls. I'm so excited for Kelly & Brad, as I know we all are, and it's only keeps getting more and more surreal to me how fun of a group we have. There is so much history - some as infants, some kindergarten, some elementary, some high school, some volleyball.... it's unbelievable to me how these girls have spanned my whole lenghth of life and yet we are still so close. It's truly a blessing.

So here's to my girls.... you're a beautiful blessing in my life. Congratulations Kelly & Brad!!

**Rachel, if you're reading this... you've procrastinated long enough. Get back to the books, my dear, you're going to be a big time lawyer someday. But I'm glad my blogs get you through your study breaks. ;) But go. Now.

And Annie.... this one was for you. Look how speedy I was! I'll try to keep up my pace. :)
